Pilgrims’ Friend Society is seeking a compassionate Night Care Assistant to join Bridgemead Home in Bath. You will support residents with personal care, meals, and daily activities, fostering dignity and independence in a 32-bed home by the river.

Experience in dementia care is essential. The role involves 36 hours weekly, with 12-hour night shifts from 8pm to 8am, including weekends, and offers weekend rates and ongoing training within a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Experience in providing care and understanding dementia is essential.
• Able to work in a team and provide excellent care.
• Well-organised, adaptable and practical.

Responsibilities

• Provide a high quality, professional service of care to our residents.
• Help a resident with personal cleanliness such as helping a resident with a bath.
• Support residents to eat and drink.
• Get to know residents so as to comfort, assist and give reassurance when needed.
• Treat others as individuals with unique and diverse needs.
• Treat our residents with dignity and respect.
• Support our residents to keep independent and healthy and encourage them to be part of the community within the home.
• Assist with tidying, cleaning, laundering and other domestic tasks when needed.
• Assist in the care at end of life.
