Job summary

St Mary’s Care Group in Lincoln is seeking a warm, enthusiastic Care Assistant for night shifts at Lincoln Manor. You’ll support residents with daily living, maintain dignity and comfort, and help create a calm, welcoming home.

This permanent, full-time role involves flexible evenings and weekend work, completing daily care records, and collaborating with a caring team to enrich residents’ lives. Training and development are encouraged within a supportive workplace.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the highest possible levels of care by supporting residents with daily living.
• Assist residents in physical, emotional and spiritual care, maintaining dignity and comfort.
• Support residents with mobility and use of aids.
• Monitor residents who may be confused or have behavioural issues.
• Assist in continence promotion and general care planning needs.
• Provide end-of-life care support where needed and assist with last offices.
• Record daily care notes in line with policy.
• Engage residents in social activities and hobbies within the Home.
• Answer nurse calls, door and phone promptly and relay messages.
• Under supervision report on residents’ wellbeing and carry out regular checks.
• Make visitors feel welcome and provide refreshments as required.
• Maintain clean, tidy rooms and proper waste disposal; handle equipment carefully.
