Job summary
Adelaide House in Belfast, operated by the Council for Social Witness (Older People Services) of the Presbyterian Church in Ireland, is seeking caring Care Assistants for night shifts. The role involves compassionate care for older residents, helping with daily activities, and supporting independence in a Christian ethos.
Salary ranges start at £12.90–£13.00 per hour depending on NVQ/QCF levels, with 24 and 36-hour weekly rosters.
Qualifications
- Willing to undertake NVQ/QCF level 2
- Willing to undertake NVQ/QCF level 3 is an advantage
- Good understanding of English, written and spoken
- Willing to align with Christian ethos of PCI
Responsibilities
- Providing compassionate care to residents with dignity and respect
- Assisting with dressing, hygiene, mobility and daily activities
- Encouraging independence while offering support
- Administering medication after training
- Supporting residents with social and recreational activities
- Maintaining accurate records (written and computerised)
- Attending training and staff meetings to develop skills
- Working as part of a team to ensure high-quality care
