Job summary

Springcare is seeking a part-time night carer to join our care home team, delivering compassionate support to residents during night shifts from 8pm to 8am. You’ll help with daily tasks, support wellbeing, and contribute to a safe, dignified living environment.

The role emphasises compassion, patience, and effective communication, with access to funded training, pension schemes, and wellbeing support. Applications welcome from dedicated carers.

Qualifications

• Compassion, sensitivity and understanding for residents and their needs.
• Strong communication and people skills are essential.
• Patience and the ability to stay calm under pressure.
• Attention to detail in care tasks and records.
• Able to use a computer or handheld device to log notes.

Responsibilities

• Assist with washing and dressing residents.
• Assist with feeding and mealtimes.
• Learn residents' interests and needs to tailor care.
• Carry out general housekeeping in bedrooms and communal areas.
• Support residents' physical and mental wellbeing through activities.
