Job summary

Roseberry Care Centres is seeking a Care Assistant to support residents with personal care, meals, and daily activities at our Bishop Auckland home. You will promote independence and quality of life in a compassionate, person-centred environment.

The role offers 22 hours per week, with night shifts and alternating weekends. Visa sponsorship is not available. Competitive pay of £12.80 per hour and access to our supportive team and development opportunities are provided.

Qualifications

• Ideally have an NVQ2 in Adult Health and Social Care
• A minimum of 1 year’s experience in Care although this is not essential
• Excellent communication, listening and empathy skills
• Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team

Responsibilities

• Assist with washing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and continence care
• Help with mobility and transfers
• Offer companionship and a friendly presence
• Support mental and emotional well-being
• Observe and report changes in a client’s physical or emotional condition
