Job summary

Avery Healthcare is hiring a Care Assistant - Nights at Westbourne Tower Care Home in Bournemouth. You will join a warm, enthusiastic team delivering high standards of personal care and supporting residents around the clock during 3x12‑hour shifts, including alternate weekends.

No prior experience required as a thorough induction and training program is provided to build confidence in your role. A DBS check and right to work in the UK are required.

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
• Demonstrate initiative and be respectful towards residents and other people in the home.
• Efficient worker who can follow reasonable instructions from team members.
• Flexible to cover a range of responsibilities at short notice.

Responsibilities

• Assisting residents in personal hygiene care ensuring independence, dignity and respect.
• Recognising and escalating risk areas such as weight loss, pressure sores, risk of falls, infections; escalate identified risks promptly.
• Acting courteously towards residents and visitors, respecting the dignity and individuality of each resident.
• Practicing safe systems of work across the range of tasks.
