Qualifications

• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
• Demonstrate initiative and be respectful toward residents and others in the home.
• Efficient worker who can carry reasonable instructions from the team.
• Able to be adaptable and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities at short notice.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high standards of personal care and contribute to the care team to ensure continuity of services for residents.
• Assist residents with personal hygiene, promoting independence, dignity and respect.
• Recognise clinical risk areas (weight loss, pressure sores, falls, infections) and escalate appropriately.
• Act courteously toward residents and visitors, maintaining dignity and individuality.
