Job summary

Chirk Court, Wrexham, is seeking a dedicated Care Assistant to cover night shifts. This role is 20 hours per week at £13.97 per hour, based at Chirk Court in Wrexham, offering a home-like setting where you can make a real difference every day.

You’ll help with personal care, meals, mobility, and companionship, supporting residents, including those living with dementia. We value kindness, patience and a willingness to learn, with training provided and pathways toward Level 2 Health & Social Care.

Qualifications

• Previous care experience is welcome, but attitude and willingness to learn matter most.
• If you don’t already hold a Level 2 qualification in Health & Social Care, we’ll help you achieve it.
• We can assist with registration with Social Care Wales and ongoing career development.

Responsibilities

• Support residents with personal care, including washing, dressing, mobility and toileting.
• Assist residents with meals, hydration and nutrition.
• Support residents living with dementia with patience and understanding.
• Spend time talking, listening and building relationships with residents.
• Help residents feel comfortable, safe and socially engaged.
• Support with medication following training and procedures.
