Job summary

South Coast Nursing Homes seeks a Care Assistant for the Night shift at Berkeley Lodge in Worthing. You will work 36 hours per week from 8pm to 8am, including alternate weekends, delivering high‑quality personal care and engaging residents in social activities.

Training will be provided; we're looking for someone kind, energetic and a true team player who values inclusivity and strives to make a difference in residents’ daily lives.

Qualifications

• Experience in the Healthcare sector preferred, but full training will be provided.
• Kind and caring with a positive approach.
• Energetic and hard-working nature.

Responsibilities

• Provide high quality personal care, social interaction and stimulation to residents.
• Promote independence and provide support to residents as needed.
• Input residents’ personalised interactions on the system.
• Serve meals and promote social dining experiences.
• Develop relationships with relatives to understand needs and care.

We are looking for a Care Assistant to join our team on Nights at our dementia specialist nursing home Berkeley Lodge in Worthing

Hours

36hrs per week, 8pm - 8am - will include alternate weekends

As a Care Assistant You Will Be

• Providing high quality personal care, social interaction and stimulation to residents;
• Promoting independence and enablement and providing any support to the residents where necessary;
• Ensuring electronic residents’ personalised interactions are inputted on the system;
• Serving food and drinks to the residents and promoting social dining experiences;
• Developing relationships with relatives to help support you in understanding their needs and developing their personal care.

More About You

• Ideally, you’ll have experience in the Healthcare sector, however we will provide you with all the training you need to be successful in the role;
