Job summary

MHA’s Anjulita Court care home in Bedford is seeking a dedicated Care Assistant for night shifts, supporting residents with dignity and independence. This role is 25 hours per week, at £13.79 per hour, with a rota that includes weekends and flexibility in shift patterns.

You will work within a values-driven team, focusing on compassionate care, safeguarding, and person-centred approaches. DBS checks, induction and ongoing training are provided to support your professional growth.

Qualifications

• Respect and sensitivity for older people.
• Willingness to be trained (Level 1 or 2 in social care encouraged).
• Good communication and listening skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Caring nature with patience and empathy.
• Weekend work on a rota is required.

Responsibilities

• Act as a keyworker for a group of residents and support admissions.
• Develop and review individual care plans, including dementia care.
• Provide personal and social care in line with care plans, enhancing wellbeing.
• Uphold safeguarding, infection control, and health & safety practices.
