Job summary

Port Glasgow's Marchmont Care Home, part of Care Concern Group, is seeking a Care Assistant to provide person-centred care for residents in a 51-bed setting. The role focuses on dignity, independence and wellbeing, with duties including daily living support, personal care, mobility, nutrition and emotional support.

The role offers a contracted 33 hours per week at £13.60 per hour, with PVG check, pension scheme and uniform provided.

Situated in the leafy residential area of Port Glasgow, we provide Residential and Nursing care for up to 51-residents.

Care Assistant Contract

• £13.60 per hour
• Contracted to 33 hours per week
• Paid PVG, pension, uniform provided
• 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full time contract)

Role Overview

As a Care Assistant, you will make a meaningful difference in our residents lives everyday. This role is central to delivering high quality, person centred care that supports dignity, independence and overall wellbeing.

You will support individuals with daily living including personal care, mobility, nutrition and emotional wellbeing, helping them feel comfortable, respected and valued. By following care plans and recognising changes in condition, you will contribute to safe, responsive and consistent care.

Working as part of a supportive team, you will help create a warm and positive environment where relationships matter and people feel truly cared for. This opportunity is open to both experienced carers and those new to care, with full training, guidance and ongoing development provided to support your journey.
