Job summary

Mearns View Care Home, part of Care Concern Group, is recruiting a Care Assistant for our luxury 67-bed facility in Newton Mearns, East Renfrewshire. You will provide person-centred care, supporting residents with daily living and wellbeing, under full training and guidance.

We offer PVG paid, pension, uniform provided, and 5.6 weeks annual leave for full-time staff. Previous experience is beneficial but not essential, with development pathways available.

Qualifications

• Experience is beneficial but not essential.
• SVQ Level 2 desirable or willingness to work towards.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care to residents following care plans.
• Support daily living activities including mobility, nutrition and emotional wellbeing.
• Follow care plans and recognise changes in condition to ensure safe, responsive care.
• Create a warm, supportive environment in a team setting.

Job description

Our purpose built, luxury 67-bed care facility is located in the charming town of Newton Mearns, East Renfrewshire. We are proud to provide a range of services which includes Residential, Nursing, Dementia, Respite & Palliative Care.

Care Assistant Contract

• £13.60 per hour
• Contracted to Full time hours per week
• Paid PVG, pension, uniform provided
• 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full time contract)

Role Overview

As a Care Assistant, you will make a meaningful difference in our residents lives everyday. This role is central to delivering high quality, person centred care that supports dignity, independence and overall wellbeing.

You will support individuals with daily living including personal care, mobility, nutrition and emotional wellbeing, helping them feel comfortable, respected and valued. By following care plans and recognising changes in condition, you will contribute to safe, responsive and consistent care.

Working as part of a supportive team, you will help create a warm and positive environment where relationships matter and people feel truly cared for. This opportunity is open to both experienced carers and those new to care, with full training, guidance and ongoing development provided to support your journey.
