Ventry Care is recruiting Care Assistants for night shifts to our residential care homes in Barnet. We care for older persons / older persons living with dementia.
To help residents get ready and into bed/settle down for the night, and assist them in the morning.
To provide a high standard of care overnight, including hygiene, continence, mobility, dressing, and general care.
To carry out regular checks on residents and the building, and assist residents with any care needs that arise.
To answer emergency bells or calls from residents immediately and seek further assistance if necessary.
In the time available between attending to residents, undertake domestic duties, e.g., dusting and hoovering, cleaning bathrooms, preparing tables for breakfast, etc.
As a team player, you will follow guidelines and policies and have good 'IT and systems knowledge' to support residents' care plans and care records. We use care management software, and smartphone + tablet hardware, to record the care provided to our residents.
Ideally, you will have experience working with older people in residential care, but so long as you are willing to learn, are flexible, patient, caring, organized, enthusiastic, and great with people, then we can train you.
You will have good written and verbal communication skills and be IT competent.
You will be flexible to work shifts on a rota basis.
You will be eligible to work in the UK.
You will have had both COVID-19 Vaccinations (a legislative requirement as of November 2021).
If you do not have it already, you will be willing to work towards your QCF 1-5 (NVQ 2 or 3 in Care).
