Dovehaven Care Homes is recruiting a Care Assistant to join our team at Maple Lodge Residential Home, Halewood in Liverpool. Working NIGHTS from 7pm to 7am, with every other weekend involved. 33-hour contracts available.

Maple Lodge is a residential care home catering for up to 45 residents, specialising in dementia care. Our goal is to ensure all residents feel comfortable, promoting independence, dignity, and respect through positive risk-taking and empowerment.

About the Role

As a Care Assistant, you will assist staff in the running of the home and maintain high standards of care and service towards residents, relatives, visitors, and staff. You will provide personal and practical care to residents.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Demonstrate compassion and empathy in caring for older people, through previous social care roles or other roles.
• Be self-motivated, resilient, and well-organised.
• Dependable, able to work well under pressure, and flexible to meet residents' and the home's needs.

Skills and Experience

• Caring and sensitive to others' needs.
• Committed to service excellence.
• Effective communication skills.
• Ability to provide emotional and social support.
• Committed to high standards of care, dignity, and respect.
• NVQ Level 2 in health and social care is desirable.
