Job summary

Marchmont House Care Home in Port Glasgow is seeking a Care Assistant to provide person-centred support to residents, focusing on dignity and wellbeing. You will assist with daily living, personal care and mobility, following care plans to ensure consistency and safety.

Open to experienced carers or newcomers, the role includes full training and ongoing development, with a night shift pattern and 33 contracted hours per week.

Care and Support - Marchmont House Care Home

Contract: Full Time

Shift Type: Nightshift

Contracted hours: 33 hours

Situated in the leafy residential area of Port Glasgow, we provide Residential and Nursing care for up to 51-residents.

Care Assistant Contract

• £13.60 per hour
• Contracted to 33 hours per week
• Paid PVG, pension, uniform provided
• 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full time contract)

Role Overview

As a Care Assistant, you will make a meaningful difference in our residents lives everyday. This role is central to delivering high quality, person centred care that supports dignity, independence and overall wellbeing.

You will support individuals with daily living including personal care, mobility, nutrition and emotional wellbeing, helping them feel comfortable, respected and valued. By following care plans and recognising changes in condition, you will contribute to safe, responsive and consistent care.

Working as part of a supportive team, you will help create a warm and positive environment where relationships matter and people feel truly cared for. This opportunity is open to both experienced carers and those new to care, with full training, guidance and ongoing development provided to support your journey.
