Job summary

Lillyburn Care Home in Kirkintilloch provides high-quality residential and nursing care in a warm, welcoming environment. Our dedicated team delivers 24-hour support for frail-elderly residents and those living with mild to moderate dementia, including specialist care within our Kintyre unit.

We are looking for a Care Assistant who can make a meaningful difference, uphold dignity, independence and wellbeing, and follow care plans with compassion.

Qualifications

• Experience in care is beneficial but not required.
• Willingness to learn and develop professionally.
• Ability to follow care plans and maintain dignity for residents.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with personal care, mobility, nutrition and emotional wellbeing.
• Follow care plans and recognise changes in condition to ensure safe, responsive care.
• Contribute to a warm, respectful and supportive environment as part of a team.
• Attend training and development to enhance care delivery.

Care Assistant Contract

• £13.60 per hour
• Contracted to 42 hours per week
• Paid PVG pension, uniform provided
• 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full time contract)

Role Overview

As a Care Assistant, you will make a meaningful difference in our residents lives everyday. This role is central to delivering high quality, person centred care that supports dignity, independence and overall wellbeing.

You will support individuals with daily living including personal care, mobility, nutrition and emotional wellbeing, helping them feel comfortable, respected and valued. By following care plans and recognising changes in condition, you will contribute to safe, responsive and consistent care.

Working as part of a supportive team, you will help create a warm and positive environment where relationships matter and people feel truly cared for. This opportunity is open to both experienced carers and those new to care, with full training, guidance and ongoing development provided to support your journey.
