Job summary

The Old Course Hotel, Golf Resort & Spa in St Andrews, part of the Kohler group, seeks a Night Butler for Hamilton Grand. You will provide warm, personalised service to owners and guests overnight, assisting with luggage, arrivals, departures and requests while keeping public areas impeccably presented.

You’ll be knowledgeable about the resort, restaurants, spa and golf facilities, and you’ll work independently through night shifts with a professional, discreet approach.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a warm, personalised and attentive service to Hamilton Grand owners and guests throughout the night.
• Welcome arriving owners and guests, assisting with luggage, check-in and providing information about their apartment and Hamilton Grand.
• Assist with departures, including luggage, account settlement where appropriate and vehicle retrieval.
• Provide valet parking for owners when requested and assist with parking arrangements.
• Handle guest requests, messages, deliveries, amenities and wake-up calls in a prompt and professional manner.
• Assist with reservations and enquiries relating to accommodation, dining, golf, transportation and spa services.
• Maintain excellent knowledge of Hamilton Grand and the wider Old Course Hotel, Golf Resort & Spa facilities, services and opening times.
• Ensure the lobby, entrance, owner areas and other public spaces remain clean, tidy and beautifully presented throughout the shift.

About the Role

Hamilton Grand offers an exceptional residential experience in the heart of St Andrews, overlooking the world-famous Old Course. As part of the wider Old Course Hotel, our team are dedicated to providing owners and guests with a warm, personalised and attentive level of service.

As Night Butler, you’ll play an important role in ensuring our owners and guests receive an exceptional experience throughout the night. You’ll be a welcoming and reassuring presence, providing assistance with everything from arrivals, luggage and valet parking to guest requests, deliveries, reservations and providing information about Hamilton Grand and the wider resort.

This is a varied, hands-on role where attention to detail is key. Alongside providing personalised service, you’ll ensure our public areas remain beautifully presented, carry out regular checks throughout the building and respond appropriately to any maintenance, safety or security concerns.

You’ll develop an excellent knowledge of the Old Course Hotel, Golf Resort & Spa, including our restaurants, Kohler Waters Spa and golf facilities, allowing you to confidently assist owners and guests with enquiries and recommendations.

To be successful in this role, you’ll be naturally welcoming, attentive and confident working independently throughout the night. Essential Requirements

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• A professional, approachable and well-presented manner
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to respond calmly to changing priorities
• Confidence working independently and taking responsibility during overnight hours
• Flexibility to support day shifts when required for holiday or sickness cover
• Willingness to undertake practical duties to ensure guest and public areas remain clean, tidy and beautifully presented
• A full UK driving licence due to the valet parking responsibilities of the role

Desirable Requirements

• Previous experience within a luxury hotel, hospitality, concierge, butler or Front of House environment
• Previous experience working night shifts
• Experience using a property or booking management system
• Experience with guest arrivals, departures, reservations or account settlement
• Previous experience providing valet parking or handling guest vehicles
• Good knowledge of St Andrews and the surrounding area
• Experience delivering five-star or luxury hospitality service

Permanent Full Time, 40hrs per week

Shift Pattern : 8pm - 8am , 4 on 4 off rotation,

Salary

£30,634.86 per annum
