Job summary

Mercure Blackburn Dunkenhalgh Hotel & Spa is seeking a Night Auditor to ensure smooth hotel operations overnight while maintaining high service standards. The role focuses on nightly revenue audits, guest check-ins/outs, and safeguarding the property.

The successful candidate will have hospitality front desk or auditing experience, strong numeracy, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently during night hours.

Qualifications

• Previous hospitality front desk or auditing experience preferred.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently during overnight hours.
• Knowledge of hotel management systems is a plus.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Professional appearance and behaviour.
• Excel knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Conduct nightly audits of hotel revenue and financial transactions.
• Reconcile daily income, prepare end-of-day financial reports, and correct discrepancies.
• Check guests in and out during the night shift, ensuring all guest services are delivered to a high standard.
• Monitor and ensure the safety and security of the property overnight.
• Respond to guest queries and resolve any issues that arise during the night.
• Communicate effectively with day shift team to ensure seamless operations.
• Maintain accurate records of guest accounts and financial transactions.
• Prepare for the upcoming day’s arrivals and special requests.
