Job summary

North West Ambulance Service NHS Trust is seeking a PTS Operations Manager to lead the Patient Transport Service management team in Greater Manchester (east 2), based at Whitefield station.

You will oversee Team Leaders, Ambulance Care Assistants and volunteers, driving safe, high-quality patient transport while meeting performance targets and collaborating with senior managers across organisational boundaries.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent experience with management exposure.
• Recognition of management qualification(s) through additional study.
• Ongoing personal development evidenced.
• Strong knowledge of NHS national and local context.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage Team Leaders, Ambulance Care Assistants and volunteers.
• Ensure delivery of high-quality, safe and efficient patient transport.
• Develop local collaborative working with senior managers across boundaries.
• Manage operational risks and maintain service performance targets.
