Job summary

Rydon Maintenance seeks a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Operative to join the NHS maintenance team at the Bracton Centre, Dartford, Kent. The role features reactive, planned and preventative maintenance across healthcare facilities, with a multi-trade focus including plumbing, carpentry, and plastering.

Typical hours are 8am–5pm Monday to Friday, with an on-call rota offering standby allowances and overtime. A full UK driving licence and commitment to safety are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in maintenance of buildings, ideally NHS or contractor servicing NHS sites.
• Wide range of general building skills including plumbing, carpentry, plastering and decorating.

Responsibilities

• Provide reactive, planned and preventative maintenance.
• Work in a live healthcare environment following proper safety protocols.
• Participate in on-call rota to handle urgent repairs and standby duties.
