Job summary

EQUANS is seeking a Mechanical Technician for our Leeds Oncology contract, based primarily at St James’ University Hospital. This permanent, full-time role is 40 hours per week with a competitive salary and benefits.

You will join a dynamic maintenance team, delivering high-standard maintenance services to the NHS Trust under a 30-year concession through Leeds Oncology. Training toward senior mechanical engineering is available as you develop.

Qualifications

• Qualified time served technician requirement.
• Healthcare experience desirable.
• Cross-trade experience advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Carry out maintenance, repairs, testing and inspection of building, mechanical and electrical services, associated systems, plant and equipment in accordance with relevant standards and procedures.
• Provide a customer facing responsive maintenance service to the Leeds Oncology Wing.
• Carry out reactive and planned maintenance tasks to a high standard.
• Maintain records and complete service reports; provide progress updates to line manager.
• Assist other skilled trades and undertake training to develop skills.
