Job summary

The Ceiriog Ward at Chirk Community Hospital, part of Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board, is hiring a Health Care Support Worker (Band 2) on a permanent part-time basis, 24 hours per week. This NHS Wales post offers the chance to provide compassionate, holistic care within a busy ward.

You will support nurses with personal care, observations and documentation, help keep environments clean, and contribute to delivering safe, high-quality patient care under supervision.

Qualifications

• Completion of QCF Level 2 or equivalent within 6 months of starting.
• Knowledge of consent and patient confidentiality.
• Understanding of risk management and health & safety issues.
• Experience in a care setting is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Registered Nurse in delivering holistic patient care.
• Record observations and maintain bedside documentation.
• Support with personal care, meals, and infection control.
• Maintain clean and safe ward environments and equipment.
