Job summary

Pennine Care NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Facilities Assistant (Domestic) to perform cleaning duties across Birch Hill Hospital, Rochdale. You will work as part of the facilities team, covering wards, clinics and administrative areas, following NHS cleaning standards and infection control protocols.

The role requires NVQ 2 or equivalent, ability to use cleaning schedules, and willingness to undertake mandatory training. Sponsorship is not available.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering cleaning services in healthcare settings.
• Knowledge of infection control and safety procedures.
• Familiarity with COSHH and NHS cleaning standards.
• Ability to read and follow risk assessments and cleaning schedules.

Responsibilities

• Carry out general cleaning duties across clinical, sanitary and admin areas.
• Follow cleaning schedules and instructions to achieve required cleanliness levels.
• Ensure equipment is stored safely and report defects to supervisor.
• Attend mandatory training including fire safety and infection control.
