Job summary

Churchill Group is recruiting an NHS Ambulance Make Ready Operative at SECAMB – Dartford VPP, Northfleet, Kent. The role involves cleaning and preparing ambulances and patient transport vehicles to infection-control standards, testing medical equipment and maintaining Make Ready packs.

Security clearance (DBS) and a C1 Licence are required. The position is a part-time, zero-hours contract with an hourly rate of £14.31, based in Northfleet.

Qualifications

• DBS security clearance is required.
• C1 Licence required.
• Training on infection control standards will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Prepare ambulances, rapid response cars and patient transport vehicles to infection-control standards.
• Test medical equipment to ensure it is fit for purpose and replace used or broken Make Ready packs.
• Replace response bags with repacked and ready-to-use sealed bags.

Cleaning is Churchill’s largest long-established business area and as an Ambulance Cleaner & Stock Co-ordinator you will have the all-important duty of preparing ambulances, rapid response cars and patient transport vehicles to an approved standard, which includes deep cleaning to an infection control standard. You’ll be part of a friendly team, all working together to create outstandingly clean and safe environments that make our clients happy.

As NHS Ambulance Make Ready Operative- C1 Requiredyou will be looking after DartfordMRCand will test all medical equipment deployed on the Trust’s vehicles to ensure equipment is fit for purpose and in working order, replacing all used or broken Make Ready packs and to replace the response bags with repacked and ready to use sealed bags.
