Job summary

Integrated Care 24 (IC24) is recruiting a Health Advisor for NHS 111. You will be the calm first point of contact, listening to callers, assessing needs and guiding them to the right care with compassion and professionalism.

Training and ongoing coaching support you to use NHS Pathways and multiple IT systems while maintaining patient safety at the heart of decisions. A demanding but rewarding role with meaningful impact.

Qualifications

• Ability to listen carefully and gather information from callers.
• Demonstrated empathy and professionalism in high-pressure situations.
• Clear spoken and written English with strong communication skills.
• Willingness to work a 24/7 rota, including weekends and unsociable hours.

Responsibilities

• Answer NHS 111 calls and gather information to understand needs.
• Assess urgent and non-urgent conditions using NHS Pathways.
• Signpost callers to the most appropriate care and services.
• Support distressed callers with empathy while maintaining boundaries.
• Navigate multiple IT systems and record information accurately.
• Work to quality standards and patient safety requirements.
• Participate in training, coaching and ongoing development.
• Recognise safeguarding concerns and uphold IC24 values in every interaction.
