Job summary

Integrated Care 24 (IC24) is hiring Health Advisors to support NHS 111 callers with empathy, calm listening and safe assessment. You’ll become the first point of contact, guiding patients to the right care and navigating NHS Pathways.

No healthcare experience is required; training is provided. You must be reliable, able to work a 24/7 rota including weekends, and communicate clearly in English. The role offers a supportive environment with ongoing coaching.

Qualifications

• You don't need previous healthcare experience to succeed as a Health Advisor.
• Ability to communicate effectively and stay calm under pressure.
• Willingness to learn clinical systems and processes, with support from experienced colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Being the first point of contact for patients.
• Answer NHS 111 calls and gather information to assess needs.
• Assess patient needs safely using NHS Pathways and approved processes.
• Direct callers to the right care and signpost to services.
• Manage challenging conversations with empathy and professionalism.
• Navigate multiple IT systems and record information accurately.
• Deliver high‑quality care in line with standards and safety.
