Newly Qualified Teachers Wanted - Cardiff, Cardiff

Academics are currently recruiting for Newly Qualified Teachers (NQTs) to begin work in Cardiff on a supply basis for the summer term - 2024. Supply work is ideal for those wanting to experience different schools, for those wanting to retain flexibility around their work-life balance, and for those wanting to hone their skills before embarking on a more permanent placement.

Responsibilities

• Maintain discipline in the classroom
• Teach across different areas and Key Stages of the school
• Stay up to date with developments in the structure of the curriculum
• Organise the classroom before and after teaching
• Report any safeguarding concerns to the school’s Safeguarding Lead
• Be prepared to take morning and last-minute calls to work

Supply work provides an excellent opportunity to gain experience and showcase your teaching abilities.

Minimum Requirements

• An enhanced DBS check (essential), preferably subscribed to the DBS Update Service
• Registration with the Education Workforce Council (EWC)
• Two recent classroom-based references
• QTS Status (PGCE, BEd)
