Prospero Teaching - Science Teacher Position in Powys

Prospero Teaching is seeking a confident Science teacher for a long-term position in Powys.

We act as a work-finding service, providing supply cover to a variety of Primary, Secondary, and SEND schools, ranging from small village schools to large secondary schools. We are looking for teachers to cover all classes from Reception to KS5, who possess strong behaviour management skills and are passionate about teaching.

We work with both newly qualified teachers (NQT/ECT) and experienced teachers, assisting you in finding your next role. Some contracts may be extended from day-to-day bookings to longer-term placements.

Applicants should have a good understanding of SEN/SEND children and utilize differentiation throughout lessons to ensure every child receives the best education possible.

For some cover work, subject-specific roles may be available for those with relevant experience or a completed university degree.

CONTRACT/POSITION DETAILS

1. Position – Science Teacher
2. Type of work – Teaching GCSE and Level Science
3. Start date – ASAP and September
4. Duration – Day-to-day bookings with potential for extension depending on schools

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, AND QUALIFICATIONS

1. QTS, QTLS, PGCE, EYFS, or equivalent
2. Previous experience working in a UK school
3. Up-to-date Safeguarding training (desirable but not essential)
4. Degree in a relevant subject

• Enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the update service or willingness to process a new application
• Two professional child-related references covering the last two years
