Full-Time KS2 HLTA (Higher Level Teaching Assistant)

Location: Rochdale, OL16

Start Date: September 2025

Salary: 100-120 per day (depending on experience)

Contract: 1 Year Fixed-Term (with potential for ECT placement)

Are you a qualified HLTA or an Early Career Teacher (ECT) looking for guaranteed, meaningful experience in a primary school setting?

A welcoming and inclusive primary school in the OL16 area of Rochdale is seeking two dedicated HLTA professionals to support KS2 (Years 4 and 5) and one HLTA in KS1 (Year 2). This is a full-time position, working Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM, on a one-year contract with great pay and clear progression opportunities.

A Fantastic Opportunity For ECTs

This HLTA role is an ideal stepping stone for Early Career Teachers looking to gain essential classroom experience. With close mentoring from experienced teachers, ECTs in this role will:

• Build confidence and refine teaching skills
• Strengthen behaviour management strategies
• Develop experience in whole-class teaching
• Significantly improve their chances of securing a long-term ECT placement
