A primary school in Manchester is seeking full-time KS2 Higher Level Teaching Assistants (HLTAs) for a fixed-term September 2025 position. Ideal for qualified HLTAs or Early Career Teachers (ECTs), this role provides a supportive environment to enhance teaching skills and offers opportunities for long-term placements.
Full-Time KS2 HLTA (Higher Level Teaching Assistant)
Location: Manchester M11
Start Date: September 2025
Salary: 100- 120 per day (depending on experience)
Contract: 1 Year Fixed-Term (with potential for ECT placement)
Are you a qualified HLTA or an Early Career Teacher (ECT) looking for guaranteed, meaningful experience in a primary school setting?
A welcoming and inclusive primary school in the M11 area of Manchester is seeking three dedicated HLTA professionals to support KS2 (Years 4, 5, and 6), and two HLTA roles in KS1 (Years 1 and 2). This is a full-time role , working Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM , on a one-year contract with excellent pay and real progression opportunities.
A Fantastic Opportunity for ECTs:
This HLTA position is also ideal for Early Career Teachers who are looking to gain valuable classroom experience while being mentored by experienced class teachers. Working in this role will:
Build your confidence and teaching skills
Strengthen your classroom management techniques
Prepare you for leading your own class
Increase your chances of securing a long-term ECT teaching role
ECTs working in HLTA roles at this school are given priority consideration for any teacher vacancies that arise throughout the academic year.

Is a qualified HLTA or an ECT seeking hands-on school experience
Is passionate about supporting children's learning and development
Works well as part of a team and can adapt to different year groups
Demonstrates excellent communication, initiative, and enthusiasm
Has strong behaviour management skills and a proactive attitude
