Job description

Are you a Newly Qualified Occupational Therapist wanting to gain experience working with people with additional needs?

Job Title: Newly Qualified Occupational Therapist

Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday - Friday

Contract: Permanent, Term Time only. There may be scope for a full-time (52 weeks) contract; please get in touch to discuss.

About the role

The role involves completing a preceptorship year under supervision of a senior occupational therapist, followed by more independent work upon competency sign-off. You will implement holistic, therapeutic approaches to support pupils, with responsibilities including assessments, report writing, and training staff and other agencies.

You will work within a supportive multidisciplinary team including Psychology, Speech and Language Therapy, and therapy assistants, fostering an environment where pupils can learn and develop.

Minimum Qualifications

• Occupational Therapy BSc (Hons).
• Registered with the HCPC and RCSLT or RCOT.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

• Accurate record-keeping in accordance with HCPC & RCOT standards.
