Job description

We are looking for passionate Speech and Language Therapists to join our Additional Resource Provision (ARP) Team working in resource provisions/units/bases within primary and secondary mainstream school settings. This is part of an exciting new transformation project. We have recently been commissioned to deliver services within all ARPs and Pupil Referral Units in Buckinghamshire. Current ARP Vacancies include:

  • Hearing Support
  • Social Communication differences
  • Social Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH)

You will join the Speech and Language Therapy (SLT) ARP team, which has a range of experience, with opportunities to help shape the service. We are committed to developing your clinical practice and professional skills.

The SLT Service is part of an Integrated Children and Young People’s Therapies Service, working closely with Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, and other children’s services. This jointly commissioned service spans health and education sectors.

What we offer:
  • Access to our Foundations Advanced Academy
  • Comprehensive induction support
  • Year-round access to Continuing Professional Development
  • Shadowing, mentorship, and clinical supervision

This is a fantastic opportunity to grow your career in a collaborative and forward-thinking environment. We welcome informal conversations and can share our interview process in advance to help you succeed.

Some ARP settings support children with Social communication differences, while others support children with SEMH. You will have the opportunity to experience both caseloads or focus on a particular area. You will deliver services to children in mainstream schools across key stages within a locality area.

The Speech and Language Therapy Service collaborates with Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, and wider children’s services including Health Visitors, Community Nurses for Children with a Learning Disability, Community Paediatricians, and School Nurses. This joint service across health and education offers support as you develop your skills to deliver high-quality, evidence-based interventions for children and young people in Buckinghamshire.

We have an excellent website providing information and support to families and professionals in Buckinghamshire and beyond.
