Job summary

Artemis Human Capital partner is recruiting for an established and growing accountancy practice to hire a Newly-Qualified Accountant on a full-time, permanent basis. The role covers accounts preparation, taxation, audit and client management for a diverse client base.

You will prepare company accounts, submissions for corporation and personal tax, assist with audits, and act as a main client contact while delivering high-quality accounting services in a friendly team environment.

Qualifications

• Qualified ACA/ACCA or equivalent, or qualified by experience
• Experience in small/medium accountancy practice
• Strong experience in accounts preparation for companies and sole traders
• Audit experience would be desirable
• Good working knowledge of accounting software (Sage, Xero) and client management

Responsibilities

• Prepare accounts for limited companies, sole traders and partnerships
• Prepare and submit corporation tax and personal tax returns
• Assist with audit assignments from planning through to completion
• Work with a varied portfolio of clients across sectors
• Act as a key point of contact for clients

We are delighted to be partnering with an established and growing accountancy practice to recruit a Newly-Qualified Accountant for their team.

This is a full-time, permanent opportunity within a friendly team of around 15, offering a varied role across accounts preparation, taxation, audit and client management. You’ll work with a diverse portfolio of clients and play an important role in delivering a high-quality accounting service.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare accounts for limited companies, sole traders and partnerships
• Prepare and submit corporation tax and personal tax returns
• Assist with audit assignments from planning through to completion
• Work with a varied portfolio of clients across different sectors
• Act as a key point of contact for clients
• Provide general accounting and business advice to clients
• Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations
• Support the wider team with general accounting and practice-based activities

Who We’re Looking For

• Qualified ACA/ACCA or equivalent, or qualified by experience
• Previous experience within a small or medium-sized accountancy practice
• Strong experience in accounts preparation for companies and sole traders
• Audit experience would be desirable
• Good working knowledge of accounting software, including Sage, Xero or similar
• Strong communication and client management skills
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
