Dickson O'Brien is seeking a Practice Accountant to join their expanding team in the UK. The role involves managing client portfolios across various industries, handling accounts, tax, and client interactions with progression opportunities.

The ideal candidate has practice experience, relevant qualifications, and strong knowledge of accounts and tax, plus experience with Xero/QuickBooks/Sage. Hybrid working options are available within a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in an accountancy practice is essential.
• Qualified or part-qualified with AAT/ACCA/ACA, or qualified by experience.
• Strong technical knowledge across accounts and tax.
• Experience with cloud-based software such as Xero, QuickBooks, or Sage.
• Confident communicator with a client-focused approach.

Responsibilities

• Prepare year-end accounts for limited companies, sole traders and partnerships.
• Prepare and submit VAT returns.
• Prepare personal and corporate tax returns.
• Manage client relationships and act as a key point of contact.
• Assist clients with queries and provide practical advice.
• Support junior team members where appropriate.

Key Responsibilities

• Preparation of year-end accounts for limited companies, sole traders and partnerships
• Preparation and submission of VAT returns
• Personal and corporate tax returns
• Managing client relationships and acting as a key point of contact

About You
