Job summary

QED Legal Recruitment Limited is seeking a technology and data lawyer for Edinburgh. Hybrid working is standard, with fully remote options readily available, and many of the firm's lawyers work flexibly.

You would be among the first members of the technology team in Scotland, helping to shape the Scottish practice, its client base and the team around you, rather than slotting into a pre-ordained structure. The work spans national and international tech, data, cyber and AI mandates, including

• Qualified technology and data lawyer with UK practising status.
• Experience handling data protection, privacy, and licensing in tech.
• Ability to manage complex international tech mandates across sectors.

• Help build and lead the Scottish technology practice and client base.
• Draft and negotiate software licenses, outsourcing and data protection agreements.
