Job summary

King Living in Lakeside Retail Park UK is seeking an Assistant Showroom Manager to join from day one, partnering with the Showroom Manager to build a high-performing team and deliver a premium customer experience from launch.

You will step up in the Manager's absence, drive sales, uphold brand standards, and apply your commercial instinct and leadership to the floor. Experience in premium retail or furniture is highly regarded, and the role offers room to grow within the business.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a retail leadership or senior sales role within a premium or luxury environment.
• Customer-obsessed with ability to build trust and inspire confidence.
• Natural coach and team player who elevates those around them.
• Commercially aware with targets, budgets and showroom performance.
• High attention to detail and strong problem-solving/communication skills.
• Flexible to work one weekend day as part of roster.
• Experience in furniture, textiles or interior design is highly regarded.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and comfortable with retail systems.

Responsibilities

• Inspire strong sales performance and deliver warm, consultative customer experiences that build trust and drive confident purchasing decisions.
• Support the Showroom Manager to coach, motivate and develop a high-performing team from day one.
• Help maintain high operational, presentation and brand standards across the showroom.
• Lead the showroom confidently in the Showroom Manager's absence, making decisions, supporting the team and maintaining performance.
