Job summary

Chattertons in Grantham seeks a Trainee Paralegal or Paralegal to join the New Homes Purchase Team. The role handles new-build purchases alongside routine residential conveyancing, with direct client contact and progression of a varied caseload.

The ideal candidate may hold a Law degree (desirable) and/or residential property experience, and should work calmly under pressure, meet deadlines, and deliver excellent client service with the firm's high standards of care.

Qualifications

• Law degree is desirable or relevant professional experience in residential property law.
• Experience in a law firm handling conveyancing is preferred.
• Understanding of conveyancing procedures and client service standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent and ongoing service to existing clients.
• Support Partners and Fee Earners in developing new business and referrals.
• Produce fee income in line with targets and maintain case knowledge.
• Assist with conveyancing matters, including new-build purchases and related work.
• Prepare quotations, undertake searches, liaise with clients and third parties.
• Assist with all stages of conveyancing including exchange and completion.
