Octane Recruitment is recruiting for a New Car Sales Manager in Birmingham to lead a busy sales department at a main dealer.

You will coach the sales team, drive performance, profitability and customer satisfaction, while managing budgets, stock and forecasts within a major automotive group.

Qualifications

• Experience as a New Car Sales Manager or equivalent in the motor trade.
• Proven ability to lead and develop automotive sales teams.
• Track record of achieving sales, profit and KPI targets.
• Excellent coaching, leadership and people-management skills.
• Strong understanding of automotive finance and the new vehicle sales process.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Lead, motivate, coach and develop the new car sales team.
• Run effective morning sales meetings and set clear daily objectives.
• Monitor individual and departmental KPIs, sales targets and customer satisfaction.
• Conduct regular one-to-one meetings and performance reviews.
• Ensure all showroom and digital enquiries are followed up quickly and effectively.
• Support Sales Executives with negotiations and closing sales.
• Maintain excellent standards of customer service throughout the sales journey.
• Manage departmental budgets, profitability and P&L performance.
• Produce and maintain sales, registration and financial forecasts.
• Manage new vehicle stock availability and source vehicles for customer orders.
• Monitor vehicle deliveries and registration activity.
• Work closely with senior management and manufacturer representatives.
• Recruit, onboard, train and develop new members of the sales team.
• Ensure departmental administration is accurate and completed within required deadlines.

Monday - Friday 8.30 am - 6pm . Saturday 8.30am - 5:30pm, every other Sunday 10am - 4pm. Day off in the week

We are recruiting for an experienced New Car Sales Manager to join a successful and established main dealership in Birmingham. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious automotive sales professional to take responsibility for a busy new car sales department, leading and developing the sales team while driving performance, profitability and exceptional customer service.

The successful New Car Sales Manager will have proven automotive sales management experience, strong commercial awareness and the ability to coach, motivate and develop a team to consistently achieve sales and customer satisfaction targets.

Requirements To be considered for this position, you will ideally have:

• Previous experience as a New Car Sales Manager, Sales Manager or Business Manager within the motor trade
• Proven experience managing and developing an automotive sales team
• Strong track record of achieving sales, profit and KPI targets
• Excellent coaching, leadership and people-management skills
• Strong understanding of automotive finance and the new vehicle sales process
• Commercial awareness with experience monitoring profitability and departmental performance
• Confident handling digital, telephone and showroom enquiries
• Excellent communication, organisation and planning skills
• A genuine passion for delivering outstanding customer service
• Full UK driving licence
