Job summary

Howden UK Brokers Limited is seeking a Client Executive for the New Business Education team. The role balances new business development with education insurance solutions for schools, operating from Cheltenham or a home-based setup with fortnightly Cheltenham office visits.

You will target growth, build client relationships, and drive revenue while navigating regulatory considerations. Training on sector products and CII exams is provided to support career progression.

Qualifications

• GCSE Maths and English (or equivalent).
• Cert CII (desirable).
• 2+ years’ experience in the insurance industry in broking or a sales role.
• Good understanding of sales techniques and processes for selling to customers.
• Knowledge of Education Insurance gained at an Insurance Broker or Insurer environment – desirable, but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Prospecting and securing new clients of all sizes.
• Speak with clients and provide solutions for Schools by phone, video call or in person.
• Attend relevant conferences to generate opportunities.
• Provide accurate sales forecasts to the Client Director using CRM data.
• Support wider team with relationships with key partners.
• Work with Service and Renewal teams to deliver an exceptional new business experience.
• Provide insurance to clients and model protection through appropriate products.
• Identify opportunities for leads to other areas and support cross-sell.
