Job summary

Lloyd's Register Group seeks a Naval Architect/Marine Surveyor for a New Build project based in Rosyth, Scotland. You will collaborate with a six-person site team to ensure hull and statutory compliance with LR Naval Ship Rules and Codes.

You will support the project manager and client on structural issues, maintain professional development, and contribute to project delivery within budget and contractual obligations. The role offers stability within a respected maritime organisation.

Qualifications

• Degree in engineering or physical science recognised by LR.
• Security clearance or eligibility for clearance.
• Marine New Construction experience and shipyard exposure.
• Experience with LR or other classification society Rules & Regulations.
• Willingness to work in defence sector and член in professional institution.

Responsibilities

• Oversee hull structure and statutory elements to LR Naval Ship Rules.
• Provide guidance on structural issues to project manager and client.
• Produce deliverables within defined formats, deadlines and budgets.
• Engage with internal/external clients to present solutions.
• Pursue CPD to maintain discipline and knowledge.
• Assist in determining fee and cost structure for external work.
• Share knowledge and mentor colleagues; drive service delivery improvements.
• Undertake routine administration in line with processes.
