Responsibilities

• Accountable for own actions in accordance with the Code of Professional Conduct and contributes to corporate objectives.
• Communicates clinical decisions and care pathways to patients, carers, and the multi-professional team.
• Provides clinical leadership and supports management in service/policy development.
• Responsible for clinical assessment of a group of patients and coordinating care across the ward and NECU.
• Organises cross-departmental activities including HR, resource, and bleep-holder responsibilities as appropriate.
• Demonstrates highly technical and practical skills for optimum patient management, including monitoring and invasive procedures.
• Develops and educates staff, participating in supervision and appraisal.
• Utilises IT systems to secure accurate and timely patient, workforce and resource data.
• Manages varied clinical events according to patient need, providing support to patients and carers.
• Promotes adherence to Health and Safety and Trust policies; maintains a clean and safe environment.
