Job summary

Cygnet Paddocks in Widnes is seeking a compassionate Support Worker to help men with acquired brain injury, neurological conditions and complex mental health needs progress through recovery and rehabilitation. The role is 42 hours per week, across days and nights on a 12-hour rota, with alternate weekends.

You will join an in-house team delivering person-centred care and safeguarding. Hourly pay starts at £13.15, rising to £13.45 after 3 months and £13.70 after 18 months, with extensive benefits

Qualifications

• Experience in mental health, care, rehabilitation or support settings is highly valuable.
• Calm under pressure, resilient, and a confident communicator.
• Genuine passion for improving lives and promoting independence.

Responsibilities

• Offer enhanced, person-centred care including physical and emotional support.
• Build professional therapeutic relationships with service users.
• Support daily routines, independence and rehabilitation goals.
• Report medical and welfare concerns and support safeguarding practices.
• Collaborate with nurses, clinicians and other staff to deliver excellent care.
