Job summary

East Kent Hospitals University NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced Consultant Neurophysiologist to join our expanding Neurosciences team. This substantive, full-time post is based at Kent & Canterbury Hospital, with cross-site responsibilities as required.

Salary: £113,565 - £150,569 per annum. You will deliver high-quality neurophysiology services, supporting diagnosis and management of neurological disorders across the Trust in one of the largest Neuroscience centres outside London,

Qualifications

• Experience as a Consultant Neurophysiologist providing specialist neurophysiology services.
• Ability to interpret and report neurophysiological investigations accurately.
• Experience participating in MDT meetings and clinical governance.
• Involvement in teaching, training, and continuing professional development.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialist neurophysiology services including EEG, EMG, and nerve conduction studies for adult and paediatric patients.
• Interpret and report neurophysiological investigations accurately and promptly.
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and case discussions.
• Contribute to clinical governance, audit, and quality improvement initiatives.
• Support teaching and training of medical students, trainees, and clinical scientists.
• Engage in continuing professional development and maintain GMC revalidation requirements.
