Job summary

University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust is recruiting a Consultant Neurophysiology in Leicester. The role offers a substantive NHS post with 10 programmed activities (PAs) and flexible FT/part-time options.

The successful applicant will lead diagnostic reporting and contribute to service development within the Neurophysiology Department, with strong emphasis on training and audit. Applicants should have MBBS, GMC registration, BIS higher training or eligible within 6 months, MRCP/MRCS, and a

Qualifications

MBBS or equivalent required.
Full GMC Registration.
Fully Accredited for Higher Specialist Training or will be eligible within 6 months of interview date.
MRCP/MRCS or Equivalent.
Membership of relevant Specialist Societies or Associations.
Higher degree e.g. MSc, MD or equivalent.

Responsibilities

Report on Diagnostic tests.
Report on Inpatient/Outpatient diagnostic tests.
Provide specialist out-patient opinion and case management.
Contribute in the ongoing development of Neurophysiology services for the local population.
Participate in training and educational activities, administrative, teaching, continuing medical education and audit activities.
