Job summary

East and North Hertfordshire Teaching NHS Trust invites applications for a substantive Consultant Neurophysiologist based at Hertford County Hospital. The role includes regular EMG clinics, EEG reporting and Evoked potential reporting, with no on-call commitment.

You will collaborate with neuroscience colleagues and other departments to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care while contributing to teaching, governance and service improvement within a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Evidence of engagement with clinical governance and the identification of errors and learning from errors.
• Active appraisal and revalidation processes.
• Ability to apply good decision making in complex clinical situations.
• Ability to teach clinical skills to trainees and colleagues.
• Ability to critically appraise published evidence and apply it to practice.

Responsibilities

• Maintain high-quality patient-centered care in a neurology setting.
• Share responsibility for day-to-day service management and strategic planning.
• Teach and train within the multidisciplinary service.
• Participate in MDT meetings and clinical governance activity.
• Engage in continuing medical education and professional development.
