Job summary

Portsmouth Hospitals University NHS Trust is seeking an Advanced Healthcare Scientist in Neurophysiology to deliver complex diagnostic and therapeutic procedures across age groups. The role involves working at multiple sites, interpreting results, and supervising junior staff.

This permanent, full-time post is Band 7 with a salary range of £49,387 to £56,515 per annum, 37.5 hours per week, and opportunities for ongoing training within a supportive clinical network.

Qualifications

• Master’s level qualification or STP
• BSc with ANS EEG/NCS/EP exams
• AHCS or HCPC registration considered
• ANS/BSCN membership desirable

Responsibilities

• Communicate procedures and technical information to patients and carers to ensure understanding.
• Analyse and interpret test results in Neurophysiology to inform diagnosis.
• Lead a team for own work area and provide supervision to junior staff.
• Develop and implement policies and standard operating procedures in the department.
