An established healthcare provider is seeking a dedicated professional to join their Community Neurology Service. This role involves assessing and treating patients with progressive neurological conditions and stroke, delivering tailored rehabilitation to help service users achieve their goals. The successful candidate will also oversee band 5 staff and provide clinical support and training. The post holder will be expected to carry out assessment and treatment of patients with progressive neurological conditions and stroke, within Gloucestershire, delivering rehabilitation with intensity to support service users to achieve their goals. The post holder will also provide outpatient clinics for assessment and intervention at various GHC locations across the county.
The post holder will have responsibility for band 5 staff and therapy support worker, providing clinical expertise, clinical support and training as appropriate.
The post holder must hold a valid driving license and have access to a vehicle for work.
The Community Neurology Service in Gloucestershire formed in October 2023 and includes longer term, slower stream rehab for stroke survivors as well as management of highly complex hospital discharges from out of county specialist centres.
We also provide outpatient clinics across the county to support service users with progressive neurological conditions, working closely with consultants and specialist nurses.
