Job summary

Birmingham Community Healthcare NHS foundation Trust is seeking a Band 4 Therapy Assistant Practitioner (Neurological Rehabilitation) for a short term contract or secondment at the West Midlands Rehabilitation Centre.

The post covers a career break until 31.01.2029, within Specialist Clinics that include Spasticity, MS, Neuromuscular, Non-Traumatic Spinal Injury, Young Adults, Complex Neuro Rehab and Intrathecal Baclofen.

Qualifications

• Provide clinical support to therapists and patients.
• Communicate effectively with patients, carers and colleagues.
• Work within a multidisciplinary team in neurological rehab settings.

Responsibilities

• Clinical work with patients in MDT and unidisciplinary clinics, and independently with your own caseload.
• Administration to support clinicians and patients, including onward referrals.
• Equipment management including ordering, stock checks and servicing support.
• Provide information to patients and clinicians.
• Maintain clear communication with patients, carers, families, staff and external agencies.
