Job summary

Active Care Group in Birmingham is recruiting a Therapeutic Rehabilitation Assistant to join the Hunters Moor Neurological Rehabilitation Centre. You will support the therapy team with prescribed rehabilitation programmes and help with ward-based care and personal rehabilitation activities.

The role requires flexibility across a 7-day rota, excellent communication and a readiness to undertake specialist training.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a healthcare, rehabilitation or therapy environment.
• Understanding of disability, neurological conditions and rehabilitation principles.
• Ability to work flexibly across a 7-day rota and commence shifts at ward start times.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and team-working skills.
• Willingness to undertake specialist and advanced training as part of induction.

Responsibilities

• Deliver individual and group rehabilitation programmes as prescribed and delegated by therapists.
• Support ward-based care and assist with mobility, transfers and rehabilitation activities.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation in line with policy.
• Participate in handovers, therapy planning and multidisciplinary meetings.
