Job summary

The Dean Neurological Centre in Gloucester seeks a Therapy Assistant to support therapists and service users across neurology and mental health care pathways. You will assist with one-to-one and group sessions, help with activity planning, and ensure confidential documentation is maintained.

Qualifications

• GNVQ 3 or willingness to undergo training.
• Experience in care or therapy environment.
• Ability to complete in-service training to support therapists.
• Understand and follow instructions accurately and learn quickly.
• Effective oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and maintain confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Assist and deliver planned therapy programmes with therapists.
• Prepare and assist individual and group therapeutic activities.
• Support service users on recovery journeys to goals.
• Work alongside Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, SALT and Dietitians.
• Maintain accurate written/computerised documentation.
• Contribute to a safe environment and comply with procedures.
